New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft says the team is planning to bring quarterback Tom Brady back to New England.

In a video posted by TMZ Sports on Wednesday, Kraft is seen walking to his car in New York City on Tuesday when he is asked by TMZ about Brady’s future.

Here is the brief exchange:

TMZ Sports: "Are we going to keep Tom in New England, Bob?!?"

Kraft: "We plan to!"

This is a big change from earlier this month when Kraft said that his “hope and prayer” is that Brady stays in New England or retires.

Brady becomes a free agent on March 18 if he and the Patriots don’t reach an agreement before then.

Latest on Brady and Patriots

Earlier this month, it was reported that Brady and his family have moved into their Greenwich, Connecticut home, fueling more speculation as to Brady’s future with the Patriots.

"Who knows what the future holds? We'll leave it at that," said Brady during his post-game press conference following the Patriots Wild Card round loss.

This year has already seen Brady put his Brookline home on the market, and step down from his role as co-chair of Best Buddies.
