NEW: Reliant Medical Group CEO Announces Retirement

Tuesday, March 27, 2012

Dr. Jack Dutzar, president and CEO of Worcester-based Reliant Medical Group (RMG), is retiring next year.

Having stood at the helm of the former Fallon Clinic the past four years, Dutzar will step down in March 2013, according to a press release.

In a memo to the RMG staff, Dr. Robert Yood, chair of the Board of Trustees, wrote: “I know you will join me in congratulating Dr. Dutzar on reaching this important and well-earned milestone.  I speak on behalf of the entire Board of Trustees when I say that Dr. Dutzar and his substantial contributions to Reliant Medical Group as our president/CEO will be profoundly missed.  He has brought tremendous insight to our organization and set us on a path toward future success.”

Until he leaves, Dutzar will continue to serve as both president and CEO, according to the press release.

During his four years with Reliant, the multi-specialty medical group has become the sixth member of Atrius Health, a nonprofit alliance of six Massachusetts-based medical groups
The organization has undergone a name change, something it said is the first step in a broader rebranding effort.

Under Dutzar’s stewardship, the press release stated, Reliant continues to design and deliver healthcare services that emphasize quality, patient safety and cost containment.
