Gas Prices Up 35 Cents Since February
Tuesday, April 23, 2019
This comes after gas prices rose eight cents this week, according to AAA Northeast.
“Monday morning crude oil was trending higher on reports that the U.S. State Department plans to end the use of waivers for countries to import oil from Iran in an attempt to end all oil exports from that country. Decreases in Iranian exports could tighten supply in the global market, though that could be balanced by increased U.S. production,” said Mary Maguire, Director of Public and Legislative Affairs.
AAA’s April 22 survey of prices in Massachusetts finds self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.69 per gallon.
The Massachusetts price is 15 cents lower than the national average for regular unleaded of $2.84.
Last year at this time, the average price in Massachusetts was two cents lower at $2.67.
This week’s local gas prices and their ranges are as follows:
Self Serve Grade
$2.69 ($2.47-$3.05) Regular Unleaded
$2.89 ($2.69-$3.19) Midgrade Unleaded
$3.07 ($2.88-$3.39) Premium Unleaded
$3.07 ($2.75-$3.39) Diesel
