Worcester Railers vs Adirondack Thunder at DCU Center 

The Worcester Railers kick-off a three-game homestand on Friday night when they host the Adirondack Thunder at the DCU Center.

The Railers are currently 13-19 on the season, while the Thunder are 13-15 on the year.

Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.

The Artist Statement with Toby Sisson at ArtsWorcester 

This workshop, led by Toby Sisson, will address an important part of every artist’s practice – writing a successful artist statement. Together we will examine compelling statements from a range of artists and explore what makes them effective. Through a series of guided exercises, you will learn how to develop your own statement.

This method is meant to provide you with the beginnings of a new draft and the tools to refine subsequent statements as your work evolves.

Dinner in a Country Village at Old Sturbridge Village 

Enjoy a unique opportunity to cook and enjoy an early 19th-century meal in one of our historic homes. 

Taking place in the Richardson Parsonage, participants will work with costumed historians to create a full dinner based on period receipts. Participants will help bake pies and rolls in a wood-fired brick oven, chop and prepare vegetables over an open fire, roast meat in a tin rotisserie, mull cider with an iron and much more.

Authors Talk at Museum of Russian Icons 

Join author and illustrator Lynn Curlee for an inside look at his new book The Great Nijinsky: God of Dance. Lynn will explore how the book came to be made, starting with the original series of paintings done in the 1970s and ending with the process of writing and getting The Great Nijinsky published.

The talk also includes an overview of Nijinsky’s complex life story, and audience members will have the opportunity to view two of the original paintings done by Lynn.
