Baby Bear

Meet Baby Bear, he’s 10 weeks old in weighing in at 11 pounds of fluff. Broken Tail Rescue has saved the best for last!

This little nugget loves to snuggle with his people, he’s a bit timid, but smart. He’s just about got potty on the pee pad mastered.

Bella

Bella is a 12 year old, 29lb mixed breed dog. She's a sweet, gentle dog who enjoys lounging around the house but she absolutely loves to go for walks. She's housetrained and she enjoys her crate. Bella gets along well with dogs smaller than her and could live with another calm dog or two. She has no problems with stairs.

Bella was initially surrendered to us back in 2014 and her adopters just recently passed away so she has found herself back with us again. When she first came to us she had a benign ear mass that had to be removed along with her ear canal. She isn't deaf but she definitely has some hearing loss.

Lucky

Lucky is about 15 years old, about 50-75% blind, and losing his hearing. Despite this, sweet senior is active and very friendly, and would adjust easily to a loving home. He does have a growth that will be ultrasounded on Sept. 25th so the vet can figure out how big it is. Regardless of what we find out, we will continue to do our best to make sure however much time he has left is happy and full of love.

Summer

What season is this? Summer? Well then, let’s get busy with an application so Summer (AKA me) can enjoy the summer with a new family! My 2nd birthday is coming up and a new home would be the best present ever.

According to my DNA test I’m part cattle dog and boxer! My foster parents say they “love me to pieces.” Not sure what that means, but I think it’s a good thing. I’m a pretty, young girl who loves to be petted and weigh 35-40 pounds. I’m housebroken, crate-trained, have all my shots and spayed. I’m ready to go!

Sadie

My name is Sadie and I am about 5 years old. I’m a pittie mix (I think!) and really want to be your new best friend. I’m up to date on all my vaccinations, including heart worm and flea/tick and I’m already spayed.

I do OK with dog saavy cats and I’m ok with other dogs that live in my foster home. I love to play and I have so much energy and really want to be on the trails, out running, or going on adventures! The couch might be my new favorite place when I'm in the house though! I would benefit from a quiet home with an experienced owner.

Rufus

Do you like big mutts with huge smiles? If so, I am your man! Weighing in at 85 lbs of love I am the largest lap dog you could ever hope to meet. Yep, you read that right! I just love to sit in my foster dad's lap. It was love at first sight for me.

At just 3 years old, I am in doggie adolescence. Like all adolescents I need patience and consistent training to mature into the awesome dog I am destined to be.

Zane

Zane is a very good boy who was living outside but has adapted well to being indoors. He's enjoying regular meals, a warm safe place to sleep, and does not tire of receiving cheek scratches and pets. He's got a luxuriously soft coat that is a pleasure to pet. His favorite is being curry combed and melting into a puddle. He likes getting pets in between bites of his food and sometimes expresses his opinion about his food.

Timmy

Timmy was surrendered recently when his owner could no longer take care of him. This special boy is about 7 years old, enjoys attention, and could be mistaken for a friendly bear cub. Because (wait for it) Timmy weighs 28 pounds. That's a LOT of cat.

It's not healthy to weigh that much so Timmy has started on a weight management diet since arriving at Broken Tail Rescue and now eats prescription food to help him slim down to a more comfortable size, without losing too much weight too quickly.

Reina

Reina is a pretty orange and white tabby girl, about 2 years old. She was found as a stray and taken in with her six kittens, who have all found homes.

Reina enjoys pets on her own terms and can be demanding if she's hungry. Once she’s comfortable, Reina is totally chill and very sweet.

Reina is not a fan of other cats and would be happiest in a home where there are no other cats.

Big and Minnie

Big is, well, the bigger and more outgoing of the two, with some orange in her incredibly soft, fur. Minnie is the more svelte, shy sidekick.

Both girls are very sweet. With a staff of caring volunteers who only want to make this duo feel loved and at home, we know that Big and Minnie have a happy life ahead of them in a safe, loving forever home.
