Reliant Foundation Grants Additional $45,500 in COVID-19 Emergency Funds to Area Non-Profits

Reliant Foundation – which delivers grants and community support to increase mental and behavioral health services – has donated an additional $45,500 in COVID-19-related emergency grants. This latest wave of funding brings the Foundation’s total COVID-19 support to $161,500 for non-profits across the region.

“Because of the on-going contributions we’ve received from donors across the community, Reliant Foundation has been able to provide these additional funds to programs in dire need of financial support,” said Kelsa Zereski, the Foundation’s president. “That means thousands of people are able to access care and support, and countless lives have likely been saved.”

With many of its grantees tasked with establishing essential telehealth and virtual client support, along with emergency childcare and food supply services, Reliant Foundation has also approved the repurposing of three previously awarded grants to meet COVID-19 needs.

“In the early stages of COVID-19’s impact, many of our grantees were focused on how they could continue to deliver critical community services from a distance,” adds Elizabeth L.B. Greene, Reliant’s Board Chair. “Now they’re focused on maintaining funding so they can continue to provide these critically needed services in the future.”
